Emmanuel Iduma

Emmanuel Iduma was born in Akure, Nigeria. He obtained a degree in Law from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. His interests range widely, including web technology, digital art, visual art, and creative writing. Emmanuel works mainly as a writer of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry, and has won awards and received recognition in each genre.

As a major indication of his commitment to emergent writing, Emmanuel co-founded Iroko Publishing, which has published Saraba as an electronic magazine since February 2009. His work in Saraba has been acclaimed globally, including in The Guardian (UK). At the moment, he is working on a novel and an e-book on African electronic experience, hoping to juggle his practice as a writer with his work as freelance blogger and editor. He is currently the editor of 3bute.com an online mashable anthology of African modernity.

From November to December 2011, Emmanuel participated in the Invisible Borders Trans-African Photography Initiative, a road trip from Lagos to Ethiopia aimed at creating photographic and written material that addresses Africa from a more individualistic viewpoint.
