Audio interview with JK Fowler and Shaun Randol. Left Forum 2010 was an amazing event and experience. There were too many panels, speakers, themes, ideas, and reactions to really speak about in a single blog or essay, so I won't even try. Reporting from LF was an insane adventure in itself. JK Fowler and I did our very best to attend as many panels and speak to as many people as possible, to try and disseminate as much of the event and its outcomes to our global audience. The reporting aspect was utterly exhausing, but also thrilling and fulfilling. When all is said and done JK (who did terrific work) and I will have filed about fifty (50!) dispatches.
After three days we were giddy and spent. So, over a couple of beers at a nearby pub, we brought out the mic and interviewed each other about our shared experience at LF. What were the challenges of reporting from an event like this? What kind of people did we meet? What were the more light-hearted moments? What about the state of the Left and what about Left Forum as a venue for bringing the movement together? Would we do it all again?
Have a listen, and enjoy!
