Rose Brewer defines herself as a scholar-activist. For over a decade, she has been a member of the board of Project South: Institute for the Elimination of Poverty and Genocide. She has also served on the board of United for a Fair Economy, and is a founding member of the Black Radical Congress. She is currently teaching in the African American and African Studies Department on the Twin Cities campus, University of Minnesota.
