James Tate Hill is the author of Academy Gothic, winner of the 2014 Nilsen Prize for a First Novel, which will be published in 2015. A graduate of the writing programs at Hollins University and UNC Greensboro, his fiction has appeared in Story Quarterly, Sonora Review, The South Carolina Review, The Texas Review, and elsewhere.
